Some relaxing time!!
This morning I spent some time in my studio working on finishing up some projects that I had started and never finished.

I started these scrapbook pages nearly a year ago. My goal is to make each of my sets of pages more like an art project rather that just sticking some pics on a page. In these pages I did lots of layering, shading and faux stitching. Each leaf, branch and blueberry were shaded individually.
I have also started working on my christmas cards. With the babies on the way I wanted to get started with these projects and get them done well before I need them done including the baby thank you cards and birth announcements.
These Christmas cards are different only in the way I colored them. The one on the left uses watercolor pencils and pigment powder paints. The one on the right I used Tria Pantone and Prismacolor markers.
The 3rd of the christmas cards I have done was the one on the top here that was quick to assmble once all the little snowman parts were stamped and cut.
I will probably make several more different cards to keep me from being bored and accomplish making 50 cards for christmas.
Time to get back to the studio :)

Wowee, it's been a long time...

It has been a very busy couple weeks. I have been pulling some OT at work and Matt has been finishing up his medics class...which he is DONE and PASSED! So, we are getting ready for him to test. My 90 days as a temp will be up June 8th, so I am excited to hear that I have a job position waiting for me...I HOPE!

We have also been doing some yard clean up. The fire did a number to the yard and we have a lot of over grown flower beds. Matt has gotten the coy pond done!! I should have the flowers planted this week. We are also working on a garden, if all goes well, we should have 6 rows of Corn on the Cob sprouting very soon! We also will have tomatoes, cucumbers, green bell peppers, watermelon, pumpkins, brocoli and...well I can not remember...but I think that there are a few more things too. I also got some strawberry plants...I can not wait to have a strawberry patch.

Matt graduates on Sunday but I hope to find some time to get some stamping in. I need to make 2 sets of invitations, one for Madelyn's pool party and one for the Pig Roast.

Here are a few things that I have played with in the past couple weeks:
Belle Pages for a Disney Signiture swap.

Sleeping Beauty pages for a Disney Signiture Swap (the picture is aweful!)

And lastly, the edited Donald pages!
Thats all for now Folks!

I got to stamp some today...Donald Duck Signiture Book Swap.

I can tell that I am not feeling my best and it shows in my pages today. I am not sure how I want to fix these up, but I am not that pleased with these pages for a swap that I am in.

There is one thing that I do like is my Donald, on this I used one of those mini fine point sharpies to have the cricut draw Donald for me (for those of you that want to try this, I suggest that you get out your scotch tape and tape a band around the sharpie because they are not thick enough to sit in the blade/marker holder, so I rigged it to be thicker so that it could draw). After the cricut drew it for me then I had it cut it for me as well but re-running it back through the cricut. Then I used my Tria Pantone and Prismacolor markers to color Donald.

It is hard to see in the picture (my zoom on my camera is not working at the moment) but the Yellow 6x6 page is stamped with stars in yellow and the Gray background is like a corrgated paper. Here is the picture:

Check out the pictures below of Grace, yes that is her sharing a push-up pop with LG! Gross!

I Love my Cricut!

I joined a Disney Autograph Book swap on SCS, so I worked on the pages today as the internet was out for the majority of the day....

I decided that when the investment was made in the Cricut that I would use it to its fullest capabilities. So, along with the machine and cartridges, I also have the Cricut Design Studio. This program is a great way to mass produce and pre-plan. This software allows me to plan out my entire Mickey Mouse so that I can cut paper to size, lay it out on the cutting mat and cut away. Since the swap that I was for 13+1, I could cut 14 of each thing at a time, the smaller items I could all be cut in one pass through the machine with the DS software.

Also, with DS, I can use markers to draw out what I want rather than cut it out. In the example below, you can see the Mickey Head background paper...no need to buy any disney paper now :)
Now that I look at these pages in more detail, I feel I should have added something to the background on the left hand page, it looks a little too simple for me.

Card details: Red, Black, White, Yellow, Ivory and Gray CS . Cricut cartridges: Mickey Font and Mickeyand Friends. Cricut Markers. 3D-Dots by EK.
